The Jobfather Chronicles: Breadcrumbs on the Trail of Right Livelihood

For more than sixty years as an activist, mentor and livelihood advisor, John Aigner has served the underserved. In the “Jobfather Chronicles” he reviews his life and times with humor, gratitude, and some regret. This memoir combines a historical viewpoint of his times with frequent commentary on our current dilemmas. Over 20 years ago, he adopted the title “Jobfather” to brand his work as an “out of the box” career counselor. As a counselor, advisor, and pundit, he has helped thousands to find their “right livelihood”. He looks forward to his next project, working with ex-offenders in a restorative justice initiative, using emerging online video conferencing capabilities, and developing the resulting interviews and lived experience into a new book on the subject.

Worlds Near and Far: The Slave God: Episode One: Busy Day

Human teeth are the currency of TAH-TRAHK, a dismal, yet bustling port city on the inner shell of Primis. Goblins, under the watchful eyes of the black dragons, collect tolls in digital ivory from the multitude of interstellar travelers who exploit the easy access of the millions of gates that connect the most remote parts of the universe. From beyond Primis, Fairies go out to human worlds to collect the prized teeth, the highest grade contained on Earth. Follow the earthbound Sam as he finds a gruesome murder in the forests of the Olympic Peninsula. On the opposite side of the country, a little girl discovers there is much more to herself than she knows. Their lives intertwine and move towards Teesk, a young wayward fairy. His life revolves around betting on beetle races and working a dead end job delivering messages for the ruling clan. His life, once ordinary, is about to take a drastic turn catalyzed by the Clankers. Watch the goblin Constable and the Lieutenant, as they struggle between maintaining the peace within TAH-TRAHK and each other. One serves the Clan Father, the other a distant master separated by billions of galaxies. Over everything, the old government of the Moon watches. Their citizen armies standing ready to rain fire on everything. These stories and many others begin to weave the fantastical Worlds Near and Far.

Worlds Near and Far: The Slave God: Episode Two: Anticipation

Continue the journey through the dismal, yet bustling TAH-TRAHK. Chief GROHL, unaware of the treachery that is building between his brother and his advisor, dutifully maintains the order of TAH-TRAHK and the many chiefdoms of Primis. His Grandson, Lieutenant GRUHG, tempered by the Constable, attempts to keep order, but instead sets off a series of events that may accelerate the Chief's usurpation. Teesk, fending off the Fairy thugs led by Plink, finds reprieve at work where his daydreams of Lena, take a turn to reality. His brother, far off in the wilds of Earth, yearns for his last pull and return home. The Disturbian lords, whose black dragons monitor the horde of goblins, are pricked by a wayward soldier. Their once impenetrable authority now brought into question. Back on Earth, Sam and Hippy contemplate their place in the universal order. All the while little Janice has an unexpected encounter with her uncle, cracking the door to that universal order and the sleeping God that rules it. All the while, the Moon observes everything.
